Cancel cleanly. Refund honestly.
Smooth Rise LLC sells Smooth Rise as a software subscription. There's no shipping, no physical returns — but you should still know exactly when money comes back and when it doesn't. This page is the answer in plain English.
Subscriptions
Smooth Rise is sold as a monthly or annual subscription. Charges renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Settings → Billing or by emailing support@smoothriseapp.com.
Monthly plans
Monthly plans are billed in advance and are non-refundable for the current billing period. When you cancel, your workspace stays on the paid plan until the end of the period and then moves to the free tier. We do not pro-rate partial months.
Annual plans
New annual subscriptions can be refunded in full within 14 days of the initial purchase if the workspace has not been used for production work. After 14 days, annual subscriptions are non-refundable, but you can downgrade or cancel at any time and keep access through the end of the prepaid year.
Billing errors
If we charge you in error — wrong plan, duplicate charge, failed downgrade — email support@smoothriseapp.com within 60 days of the charge with your workspace name and the invoice number. We will refund verified billing errors back to the original payment method, usually within 5–10 business days.
Plan changes
Upgrades take effect immediately and are pro-rated against your remaining period. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing period; no partial refund is issued for the remainder of the current period.
Trials and free tier
Free workspaces are not charged. If a paid plan begins after a trial, the first invoice is your subscription start; the standard refund rules above apply from that date.
Custom and Scale plans
Refunds for Scale and other custom-contract plans are governed by the signed order form. Where the order form is silent, this policy applies.
How to request a refund
Email support@smoothriseapp.com from the email address on the workspace owner account. Include the workspace name, the invoice number, and a one-line reason. For legal escalations, email legal@smoothriseapp.com.
