Human approval before process changes
Every recommended SOP edit, automation, or workflow change is a suggestion. A human owner must approve it before it touches the operating documents.
Explainable operational recommendations
Every suggestion ties back to the workflow, step, or signal that produced it. No black-box scoring. Owners can see why something is flagged.
Workspace-level access controls
Data is scoped to a workspace and protected by row-level security. Members only see content from workspaces they belong to. Roles gate sensitive actions.
Data export and deletion controls
Owners can export all workspace data as JSON at any time and request full deletion. You should be able to leave without friction — and take everything with you.

What Smooth Rise stores
Account data (name, email), workspace content (workflows, SOPs, bottlenecks, handoffs, reviews), and the configuration you set in Settings. No employee monitoring data of any kind.
How workflow and SOP data is used
Workspace content powers your own dashboards and the suggestions you see. It is never shared across tenants, never used to train public models, and never sold.
How team activity is logged
We log structural events — who created or edited a workflow, SOP, bottleneck, or review — for the activity log inside your workspace. No keystroke, screen, or behavioral tracking.
What admins can see
Owners and Admins see all content within their workspace, plus the activity log. They cannot see private device data or anything outside the workspace.
How data can be exported or deleted
Owners can export the full workspace as JSON from Settings → Data & privacy. Workspace deletion permanently removes all associated content. Email legal@smoothriseapp.com for written confirmation.

How Smooth Rise thinks about AI.
Smooth Rise is designed for AI-assisted workflow analysis. Teams stay in control of generated suggestions and approve changes before they affect operating documents.
- Today, suggestions are generated by deterministic rules over your workspace data. AI providers are integrated incrementally and only with explicit configuration.
- Workspace content is never sent to third-party AI providers by default. When AI features are enabled, the active provider is shown in Settings and can be turned off at any time.
- No SOP, workflow, or automation change is applied automatically. A human owner reviews and approves every edit.
We don't currently claim SOC 2, HIPAA, or GDPR certification. When we hold a certification, it will appear here with the issuing body and date — not before.
